Marriage PreparationContact: Paul GrutschEmail: pgrutsch@mindspring.com Phone Number: 546-5322 Marriage preparation begins at least six months before the intended wedding date; the first step is to contact the celebrating priest. Weddings at Saint Joseph Church for non-parishioners are permitted provided that all paperwork and preparation are completed by the Parish of the couple intending marriage and all fees are paid one week in advance. For parishioners of Saint Joseph, at least one of the intended spouses must be registered and active in the Parish. Required paperwork must reflect an interview with each spouse, a FOCCUS test, a baptismal certificate with sacramental notations issued within the previous six months, and one of the three forms of marriage preparation: Pre-Cana, Engaged Encounter, or the Couple-to-Couple program. The Saint Joseph wedding coordinator can be helpful in assisting the couple with other requirements. |
