January 11, 2009

Present at the meeting:  Ed Fechtel, Mary Mellien, Ellen Jackson, Hank Wright, George Gazda, Terry Trotaschaud, Monica Kucher,Mueller Tim Janke, Nancy Hobart, Ben Williams, Fr. David McGuinness.     Members absent: Debbie Rossiter, Fr. Juan Carlos, Donavan Yarnell

1. Call to order

2. Approval of Minutes – Read by Ellen Jackson, approved

3. Nursery Report – Need for new survey distribution

1. Only 8 people responded to The Nursery Survey (Sent out approx. 300 to school families)
2. Berti is working on a plan for a new distribution of survey at church
3. The New floor in the basement has improved the appearance of the basement.

4. Parish Council Election Plans
1. Discussion of Ballot and Election process

5. Meeting of the Conference of Parish Organizations
1. Feb. 8^th at 2:00pm tentative date
2. Hank read proposed letter
3. Meeting moved to the Basement due to Parish hall conflict

6. Think Tank Report on Parish Finances
1. Alternative ways of giving – handout for consideration
2. Annual Appeal – the data is available on the Archdiocesan website
3. Review of “Actual Financial Results” Report from Prince of Peace, consideration of creating such a report for our parish.

1. No report

9. Father McGuiness
1. Father presented a plan for the immediate development of the Epps Bridge property:

(1) Purchase of land (achieved), (2) clearing all of the land to be developed in the future, including that for a school and church, and installing all the   improvements required by the County, and (3) construction of a multi-purpose (education, recreation, and liturgical) center.

b.  A motion was unanimously passed endorsing the Plan
